Gatwick Airport parking

The other day I was trying to park at gatwick airport which ofcourse can be a hassle if you leave it the last minute. So I jump on the web, trying desperately to find a site with I found did airport parking.  After about 20 minutes of looking, I happen to come across a youtube video that talked about airport parking and how some firms do not look after your car properly.

Watching the video really made me stop and think whether or not, I really want my car to be parked near the airport by some dodgy guy in a suit. This made me very careful, in shopping around and also made me more aware of who I booked with.  My advice to anyone booking airport parking is to do some background checks on the company you are researching and make sure everything checks out.

That being said, I'm off to Gatwick to catch my flight for a bit of summer fun.

Little things I notice

Sometimes I come across some strange things  online,  and I really wonder, who has time to get all of these things posted. I think the internet may need a bit of cleaning up if you ask me. There are just some things that cannot be left alone.

Beau1618 asked:

I hope it doesn't bore you too much! te he. I hope everyone who wishes to travel, gets to soon!!! In the mean time, I shall enjoy the aeroplanes not going over head every 90 seconds!!! I'm a few miles away from Heathrow and RAF Northolt, plus the air ambulance/police helicopter place, Gatwick Airport, Luton Airport and City Airport are not a million miles away! The volcano in Iceland in question is Eyjafjallajökull, but there was no way I was going to attempt to announce it! ha ha! I wouldn't even know where to start! EL Morche?

El Morche is part of the municipality of Torrox. The pueblo of Torrox typically enjoys the Moorish style, charm and beauty of the Andalusian white towns. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the mountains of the Sierras Almijara and Tejeda to the north, the Axarquia enjoys sub-tropical temperatures. The average annual temperature on the Torroxean coast is 18.2 degrees Celsius, and without substantial differences between winter and summer, this particular area of Spain is reputed to have `the best climate in Europe’. There are local beaches, shared by fishermen and sunbathers, and natural coves and bays (ideal for diving and snorkelling) formed by the magnificent cliffs which lie a few kilometres to the east of El Morche.

Cheapest Hostel in Dubai

Despite all the bad news about expensive luxury hotels and the wave of luxury travellers streaming into the city each day there is one youth hostel in Dubai known as the cheapest accommodation in town. This hostel accommodation, not far from the Al Mulla Plaza, is located on Qusais Road. Because of its success in 2002 the owners decided to try an experiment and added a 4 star wing to the hostel tripling the number of accommodations. In case you feel to need to upgrade next door.

The hostel has 53 beds in total and the cost per night start as unbelievably as cheap $18, £9 or 14 Euro. This is in case you are already a YHA member with I believe most backpackers such as myself are anyway. If you are not a member just add 15% to the cost, that’s all. By the way if you think of that hostel as sharing with lots of other people one huge dormitory you are mistaken. Booking the Dubai Youth Hostel you will stay in one of the 20 very clean, two bed dormitories including breakfast. The value you get for your money staying at the Dubai Youth Hostel is absolutely outstanding for this expensive city.

Where to stay in India

Cheap hotels in India are available en masse regardless where your travel plans carry you. Be it a big city like Delhi, Mumbai or a famous holiday beach resort such as Goa the average cost for decent budget hotel to stay should be between 100 and 200 Rs (Rs = Indian Rupees). This is the equivalent believe it or not to 1,25 to 2,50 Pounds Sterling. The same for any of the other major travel cities in India like Bangalore, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Agra, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Simla, Pune, Mysore, Darjeeling, Kodaikanal. All these places are worth while to visit and as long as you don’t mind accommodation without air-conditioning the hunt for cheap hotels in India should be the least of your worries.

Easy to imagine if the cheaper hotels and hostels are about 1 to 3 pounds or 5 to 6 dollars a night that even the luxury hotels are cheap and maybe an option for one or the other western budget travellers that comes along to visit India and is used to western European or American hotel rates.
